OUR FOUR PILLARS OF WELLNESS
Our wellness model centers around four key pillars that support personal growth, a sense of belonging, increased self-worth, and lasting fulfillment.
Emotional Management
Being emotionally resilient is key to navigating life’s ups and downs. Emotional intelligence (EQ) has been shown to predict success even more than IQ, with nearly 90% of high achievers crediting it for their career growth (Harvard Business Review, 2004). At Habitual Roots, we focus on teaching emotional regulation techniques like mindfulness, gratitude, and self-compassion. These tools help reduce stress and boost emotional well-being, empowering you to handle challenges with confidence and grace (Neff & Dahm, 2015).

Healthy Daily Habits
Wellness is built on the small things we do every day. Whether through meditation, journaling, or yoga, consistent healthy habits create lasting change. Research shows that practices like yoga reduce stress and improve mood by lowering cortisol levels (Link, 2017). Mindfulness and meditation also help manage anxiety and increase overall well-being (Thorpe & Link, 2020). As part of our community, you’ll find the accountability and support to create and stick to habits that help you thrive.

Connection to Community
A strong social support system isn’t just good for the soul—it’s essential for your health. Studies show that a lack of social interaction can be as harmful as smoking 15 cigarettes a day and is even riskier than obesity (Martino, Pegg & Pegg, 2015). By fostering connections in our wellness community, you can improve your mental and physical health, decrease feelings of loneliness, and create a sense of belonging that supports your overall well-being.
|
Connection to Self
Wellness starts from within. Self-awareness leads to better decision-making, higher life satisfaction, and more emotional balance (Schlegel et al., 2013). When you take the time to understand your values and strengths, you build a foundation for personal growth. People with a strong sense of meaning in life also tend to experience fewer mental health challenges (Brassai, Piko & Steger, 2011). At Habitual Roots, we offer mindfulness and reflection practices to help you connect with yourself and live a more fulfilling life.
