Is my Donation Tax Deductible?
Habitual Roots Inc. is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law. Our Federal Tax ID Number is 84-2190456. We will send you an e-receipt for your records, which you can use to claim a tax deduction for your donation. For further questions regarding the tax or legal aspects of your donation, we recommend that you contact your legal or tax adviser.
WILL I receive a tax receipt?
If you have made your donation online, you should receive an automated confirmation email containing all the necessary details within minutes of having made it. This email serves as your receipt.
Tax receipts for donations made by alternative means (e.g., checks sent in the mail) are sent quarterly. If you do not receive your receipt within six months of mailing your donation, please contact us at [email protected].

Can I make an offline donation?
To make an offline donation, mail a check or money order payable to Habitual Roots: Habitual Roots Inc, PO BOX 189017, Charlotte, NC 28218. Make a note on the memo line if you would like your contribution to support a specific Habitual Roots program or campaign.
How do I donate a Custom Amount?
If you wish to donate an amount other than those displayed by default, you can enter a custom amount in the text box that is preceded with the dollar symbol.
How do I edit my recurring donation?
For donations via Donarbox: You can edit your recurring donation plan via your donor account in Donorbox. To log in to your donor account, enter your donation email and the password you set to log in here. (Forgotten your password? You can reset your password here.)
For donations via Paypal: Unfortunately, PayPal does not allow you to edit recurring donations in Donorbox. To edit your recurring donation, please log in to your PayPal account directly and make your changes there.

Does Habitual Roots have a donation refund policy?
Habitual Roots Inc. is able to refund your donation via Donorbox within sixty days of the original transaction. If you erroneously enter a donation, contact us immediately at [email protected]. Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to reflect in your account. Any handling charge assessed by our payment processor may be deducted from your refund.
